Fifth Percentile VIP, Non-instrumented ATD-32007

The VIP 5th is shipped with its own  certification of weight and anthropometry to the latest NHTSA procurement specifications. Heads are designed to minimize ringing. Shoulders are designed for close adherence to human steering wheel impact response. Rib cages are of spring steel construction, lumbar spine is of rugged design and construction. Joint loading is accomplished by individual adjustment of each degree of freedom of flexion.

Hips are hard ball joints, as in the human, with individual and fully independent joint load adjustments.

Instrumentation provisions for femur load cells and three-axis accelerometers in head and upper thoracic sections.
